Climate and Ecological Emergency (CEE) Bill

The CEE Bill Alliance is a group of people and groups demanding climate action, raising awareness of the cross-party climate and ecological emergency bill being proposed to parliament.They are trying to make awareness on a local level so that the city’s MPs will vote for the bill in parliament on a national level.Alison, Peter and Selma will run through the basics of the Bill, why we need it and what we can do to make sure it passes.
We will also have a chance to discuss the bill and share ideas to work together across the city.


Urban Gardening: Grow your own in small spaces

You don’t need an allotment to grow your own. Even the smallest space can give you a tasty crop with a bit of planning.Come along to our second online meeting of the year to hear some great tips on how to grow your own in containers and small spaces.We will also hear from ‘Incredible Edible Portsmouth’, a local initiative aiming to increase the amount of local food grown and eaten in the city.


Recycling in Portsmouth

Join us for an informative talk on recycling & composting in Portsmouth followed by a fun quizz!Speaker: Celine Purvis from PCC Waste Management teamCeline will give us a short presentation on what can and can’t be recycled in the city in kerbside collection or recycling banks.She will also tell us about the food waste collection trial which has began on 16 September 2019.The presentation will be followed by a fun quizz on recycling as well as questions & answers.
